Better Indeed!

Better indeed. On with the show, later that day we were treated to traditional Japanese Theater-Kyogen style. It was very comical and entertainging. The program brought much side splitting laughter to our American delegation. The evening turned into a red carpet event. We had a formal welcome reception where we were treated to traditional Japanese music-Koto and Shakuhachi. The Koto is a zither with 13 strings. Shakuhachi, a flute about 55 cm long. The name of the flute is its lenght expressed in the old Japanese length units. The musicians were dressed in traditional clothes and seemed to play their instruments flawlessly. We heard remarks from visiting officials and enjoyed a buffet style Japanese and Western dinner.
